The Government of the State of Qatar
And
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Herein refered to as "Parties"
- Realizing their mutual interest to strengthen their existing relationship, - Desiring to support this relationship specially in the fields of youth and sport,
And in the light of the laws and regulations adopted in the two countries, Have reached the following Articles of Co-operation.

Article (I)
The two Parties will support and encourage all efforts of co-operation between organizations working in the field of youth and sport.

Article (II)
The two Parties will promote their ties of co-operation in the field of youth as follows:
1. Exchange of the visits of responsibles of youth work in the two countries.
2. Exchange of the visits of youth delegations to achieve more understanding and knowledge among their youth.
3. Exchange of information, researches and studies related to youth work.
4. Co-operation in the areas promoting and developing youth movement.

Article (III)
The two Parties will promote their ties of co-operation in the field of sport as follows:
1. Exchange of the visits of responsibles of sport work in the two countries.
2. Exchange of information, researches and experiences related to sport work.
3. Exchange of sport friendly matches, sport training camps through direct co-ordination and contact between their Olympic Committees and the concerned sport federations in the two countries.
4. Exchange of invitations to participate in the technical courses for coaches and referees held in the two countries.
5. Co-operation of stands in the continental and international sport
conferences and events.
6. Co-operation in the following areas:
- Sport Medicine.
- Management and maintenance of sport facilities and installations.
7. Co-operation in the areas promoting and developing sport movement.

Article (IV)
The exchange of the visits of youth and sport delegations between the two Parties will be carried out on the following basis:
1. The visiting Party will bear its own travel expenses.
2. The financial arrangements of the visits of sport teams and holding training camps will be agreed upon directly between the concerned organizations of the two countries.

Article (V)
The two Parties will form a joint committee from responsibles in the field of youth and sport in order to conclude the executive programmes of this Agreement.

Article (VI)
This implementation of this Agreement rests primarily on both the Youth and Sport General Authority "YASA" and Qatar National Olympic Committee "QNOC" of the State of Qatar, as well as the National Youth Center and the Physical Education Organization of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Article (VII)
This Agreement is valid for a period of five years effective the date of exchanging its ratification documents and is subject to automatic renewal unless terminated by either party with a six month written notice.

The termination of this Agreement will not affect any programmes agreed upon prior to the termination notice.

Done and signed at Doha, on 5-2-1420 HQ corresponding 30-2-1378HS and 20-5-1999 in three originals in Arabic, Persian and English being equally authentic. In case of misinterpretation the English text will prevail.
