1 Article

Al Jazeera Satellite Network shall be changed to a public utility private corporation by amemorandum andarticles of association in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 21 of 2006, and shall be named “Al Jazeera Media Network”.

2 Article

All immovable and movable property of Al Jazeera Satellite Network and the rights and obligations assigned thereto or thereonshall be devolved to Al Jazeera Media Network immediately after its establishment as a private corporationfor the public benefit in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Article.

3 Article

As a private corporation established for the public benefit, Al Jazeera Media Network shall be exempted from all taxes and fees and itsproperty may not at any future time be attached or acquired by takeover or prescription.

4 Article

Until the completion of the proceduresfor establishing Al Jazeera Media Network as a corporationandappointing the Board of Directors, the management of its affairs shall be undertaken by the Al Jazeera Satellite Network board.

5 Article

The employees of Al Jazeera Satellite Network shall continue working for Al Jazeera Media Network, with their same prescribed status, salaries and benefits, until the Board of Directors assumes the management thereof, where after the Board of Directors may make appropriate decisions in this regard.

6 Article

Directives, decisions and rules currently applicable at Al Jazeera Satellite Network shall be applicable until the Board of Directors of Al Jazeera Media Network issuesnewdirectives, decisions and related regulations.

7 Article

Law No.1 of 1996, referred to above, and any rule that violates the provisions of this law shall be cancelled.
8 Article

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall execute this decision from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
