Articles (1-3)

We, Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Deputy Emir of the State of Qatar;

Having perused the Constitution;

Law No. 3 of 1983 on the regulation of the pharmaceutical professions, the intermediaries and agents of pharmaceutical factories and companies, and amending legislation thereto;

Law No. 1 of 1986 on the registration of the pharmaceutical companies and their products, as amended by Law No. 2 of 1998;

Emiri Resolution No. 13 of 2009 establishing the Supreme Council of Health;

The proposal of the Minister of Public Health, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Health;

The draft law submitted by the Council of Ministers; and

After consulting the opinion of the Shura Council;

Hereby promulgate the following Law:

Articles

Article 1

The expression “Supreme Council of Health” shall be replaced with the expression “Ministry of Public Health” wherever mentioned in Law No. 1 of 1986.

Article 2

Article 10 of Law No. 1 of 1986 and any provision violating the provisions of this Law shall be rescinded.

Article 3

All relevant authorities, each within its own field of competence, shall enforce this Law which shall come into force onthe date of its issuance. This Law shall be published in the Official Gazette.
