The Attorney General,
Having perused Law No. 23 of 2004 promulgating the Criminal Procedures Law, in particular Article 27 thereof, and amendments thereof,
Law No. 12 of 1972 concerning obligatory pricing, and its amendments,
Law No. 19 of 2006 protecting fair competition and preventing monopolistic practices,
Law No. 8 of 2008 on consumer protection and amendments thereof, and
Pursuant to the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Commerce,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Articles

Article 1

Mr. Mohammed Mubarak Rashid Mohammed Al-amri, Markets observer- IV, at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce - shall be vested with the powers of judicial officer (ombudsman), to seize, control and prove offences committed in violation of the provisions of the laws referred to above and the resolutions issued for the implementation thereof.

Article 2

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall enforce this Resolution which shall come into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
